What is ESD packaging? Basic approach for electronic products
ESD packaging is evaluated during the packaging process of electrostatic sensitive components. Packaging selection is made together with the sensitivity of the product and the ESD control environment in which it is used.
What should you evaluate?
The concepts of antistatic, dissipative, conductive and shielding do not mean the same thing. The desired electrical properties should be clearly stated in the technical specification and verified with the selected material.
The next step for your project
The black color in the image alone is not evidence of ESD performance. The appropriate solution must be determined based on technical data and, if necessary, measurement and usage conditions.
